Water You Everyday
Don't let me walk out in the rain all alone just yet
In the winter time I hate it when my feet they get wet
& my nose get's runny, I'm sneezing but wait you say
"Baby let me warm ya" gonna water you everyday
You were a Jewel that was shining in the desert like a locket
& I picked you up & I stuffed you in my pocket
& I sat you on my shelf, I dusted you off, I'm gonna hold
you real tight, gonna water you everyday
When I left you at the station there were water in my eye
There was a tingle in my spine & there tears from the sky
Are you floating to the great soul lately cause I am
Baby can't you hear me yeah I'm laughing & I'm crying
When I was a little baby, well they took me to the alter
they dipped me in the water & I screamed for higher shelter
They laid their hands upon me & the sparks flew from the sky
they said "Jesus can I hold ya?" Gonna water you everyday
When I left you at the station there were water in my eye
There was a tingle in my spine & there tears from the sky
Are you floating to the great soul lately cause I am
Baby can't you hear me yeah I'm laughing & I'm crying
Seems like our whole damn lives have been searching for a reason
we never understand it's as natural as breathing
Gonna find the ones that love ya & the ones that make ya smile
& say "baby let me warm ya" gonna water you everyday
